  • Review the award criteria, including relevance, innovation, impact, feasibility, scalability, sustainability, and learning.
  • Ensure your project aligns with SmartAg’s objectives and addresses critical challenges in agriculture and food systems.

Step 2: Identify Your Activity

  • Choose a project or initiative that demonstrates a concrete achievement in sustainable agriculture.
  • Ensure it aligns with the award’s focus areas, such as climate resilience, innovation, and inclusion of employees, smallholder farmers, women, or marginalized groups.

Step 3: Develop Your Proposal

  • Use the fillable PowerPoint template as your guide. Follow the slide-by-slide instructions to structure your submission.
  • Be concise, creative, and evidence based. Use visuals, quotes, and data to tell your story.
  • Language is not a barrier—coaches can assist with translations if needed.

Step 4: Leverage Coaching and Resources

  • Attend the webinar on 20 May to learn more about the award process and evaluation criteria. Download the webinar recording in case you could not attend.
  • Schedule 1:1 coaching sessions with experts to brainstorm ideas, refine your proposal, and align with the award criteria.

Step 5: Submit Your Application

  • Complete the PowerPoint template and upload it via the secure submission portal by August 31, 2025
